‘Futuring’ is the process of thinking creatively and critically through time.

Designing Futures allows us to imagine new, alternate, decolonial, equitable, preferable and undesirable scenarios and societies.

Futuring helps to reflect on the past and present, and identify what things we should be rethinking and redesigning to create better futures for all.

Futuring helps to work through complex social and ecological problems.

There are many ways to future. I apply a collaborative Futures-thinking approach to design research projects, and teach the process of Futuring to UTS Design students - selected illustrations below. I am also currently producing a ‘Collaborative Design Futures’ short course.

The Future is Now.
